About the Event
Cap off a year of learning with JCU’s final Inspiration on Tap for 2024.
Join Aaron Hasenei to discover how the epaulette ‘walking’ shark may adapt to warming waters, and gain insight from Associate Professor Monica Jurin into the factors that might impact the choice to purchase personal insurance.
Can the epaulette shark ‘outwalk’ climate change?
The epaulette shark might be the toughest shark on the Great Barrier Reef, but how well will this ‘walking’ shark species cope with warming waters in an uncertain future? The demanding environments that the epaulette shark resides in likely attribute to its resilience toward the ‘deadly trio’ of climate change. However, what exactly allows them to survive these stressful conditions? Join Aaron Hasenei in an exploration of how the epaulette may adapt to changing environments.
Is your financial protection ensured?
Personal insurance provides financial protection during times of limited capacity due to illness or injury. However, awareness and adoption of insurance are low, whether because of costs, biases or other drawbacks. Join Associate Professor Monica Jurin as she explores the critical role of personal insurance and how awareness and purchasing drivers impact the decision to ensure financial wellbeing.
Nibbles will be provided on the evening.
